Crabtree Health
YOUR PATIENT JOURNEY
From first call to ongoing care — here's what to expect
We've designed every step to be clear, low-pressure, and clinically sound. Most patients go from first call to a full care plan within 2–3 weeks.
01
Book a free consultation call
Your first step is a free 15-minute call with our care coordinator. She'll explain how the practice works, answer your questions about insurance vs DPC, and help you figure out if Crabtree Health is the right fit. No pressure, no commitment, no upselling.
EVERYONE
02
Initial visit with Dr. Fatima Iqbal, MD
Your first appointment is with Dr. Iqbal — in person at our Morrisville office or via telehealth. She reviews your full medical history, current medications, and goals. This is a real physician visit, billed to your insurance or at the DPC rate — not a wellness intake.
EVERYONE
03
Labs & diagnostic panels ordered
Dr. Iqbal orders a baseline metabolic panel for all patients. For women, hormonal labs are added as clinically indicated — thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, and more. Labs are billed through your insurance wherever possible.
EVERYONE-PLUS HOROMONAL PANELS FOR WOMEN
04
Return visit — your personalized care plan
This is the most important visit. Dr. Iqbal reviews your lab results and presents a care plan built specifically around your numbers and goals. This is where add-on services are recommended — CGM monitoring, health coaching, exercise sessions, or supplements — based on what your labs actually show.
*GLP-1 therapy if clinically indicated
KEY VISIT
05
Ongoing care — your team stays with you
After your care plan is in place, your physician, health coach, and movement coach work from the same plan. Hilal sends monthly progress notes to Dr. Iqbal. Your CGM data informs your coaching sessions. Your supplements are tracked in Fullscript. Nothing falls through the cracks.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What patients ask before their first visit
These are the questions our care coordinator answers on almost every consultation call.
Do I need a referral to become a patient?
No referral needed. You can book directly through the consultation call or your physician can refer you. We accept self-referred patients for both weight loss and hormonal health visits.
Can men come to Crabtree Health?
Yes — men and women are both welcome for weight loss and primary care visits. Women's hormonal therapy (perimenopause, menopause, PCOS) is a women-only service. Everything else — coaching, CGM, exercise sessions — is open to all.
Do I have to enroll in coaching or CGM?
Never. All add-on services — coaching, CGM monitoring, exercise sessions, and supplements — are recommended by Dr. Iqbal at your return visit based on your labs and goals. You decide what makes sense for you. Nothing is required.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major insurance plans. The best way to confirm coverage is to call our office with your insurance card — our front desk will verify benefits before your visit so there are no surprises.
Is telehealth available?
Yes. Dr. Iqbal sees patients via telehealth for most visit types. Lab work is ordered to a location near you. Some initial visits may prefer in-person — your care coordinator will advise based on your situation.
How is Crabtree Health different from a med spa or weight loss clinic?
We are a physician-led medical practice. Dr. Iqbal is an MD who accepts your insurance, orders real labs, and manages your care clinically. Med spas and weight loss clinics typically do not offer this level of clinical oversight or insurance billing.
