WHO WE HELP

You don't have to feel
this way — and it's not
"just your age"

Hormonal shifts are real, measurable, and treatable. Whether you're noticing changes in your 30s or navigating menopause in your 50s — Dr. Iqbal has answers backed by labs, not guesswork.

"I see women every week who've been told their labs are 'normal' while they feel terrible. Normal ranges don't always account for your personal optimal — and that's where the real work begins."

— DR. FATIMA IQBAL, MD · WEIGHT MANAGEMENT & METABOLIC HEALTH

Menopause

The 12-month mark after your last period — and the years following — brings a new hormonal baseline affecting metabolism, bones, cardiovascular health, and quality of life.

  • Persistent hot flashes and sweating

  • Vaginal dryness and discomfort

  • Bone density loss risk

  • Cardiovascular metabolic changes

  • Libido and mood changes

  • Androgen excess (hair, acne, skin)

  • Insulin resistance and blood sugar

  • Difficulty losing weight

DUTCH Hormone Testing

Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones

The DUTCH test by Precision Analytical is one of the most comprehensive hormonal assessments available. Unlike a single blood draw, DUTCH captures your complete hormonal picture including estrogen metabolism pathways, a full-day cortisol pattern, and markers that standard blood panels simply cannot measure.

At Crabtree Health, Dr. Iqbal orders DUTCH tests directly through Fullscript — the same platform used for your supplement protocols. Patients receive a kit at home, collect samples over 24 hours, and results are reviewed with Dr. Iqbal at your return visit.

  • ✓Estrogen metabolites — E1, E2, E3 and full estrogen metabolism pathway

  • ✓Progesterone and its metabolites for cycle and sleep assessment

  • ✓Testosterone, DHEA, and adrenal androgens

  • ✓Full-day cortisol pattern — 4-point diurnal rhythm (not just morning cortisol)

  • ✓Melatonin — sleep hormone production and timing

  • ✓Oxidative stress markers and B12 metabolic markers

  • ✓DUTCH PLUS adds cortisol awakening response (CAR) for adrenal assessment

DUTCH VS STANDARD BLOOD PANEL-WHATS THE DIFFERENCE

Blood panel

  • Single point-in-time snapshot only

  • Misses cortisol daily pattern

  • Cannot measure estrogen metabolites

  • No methylation or oxidative stress data

DUTCH Test

  • 24-hour hormone pattern collected

  • Full diurnal cortisol rhythm captured

  • Complete estrogen pathway mapped

  • Methylation and B vitamin markers included

DUTCH COMPLETE

$449

Cash-pay
Home collection kit · results in 7–10 days

DUTCH PLUS (with CAR)

$599

Best for adrenal fatigue and stress patterns

HOW IT WORKS - NO STEPS REQUIRED BY YOU

After Dr. Iqbal recommends the DUTCH test at your visit, you pay at checkout and your care team places the order on your behalf. The kit ships directly to your home within 2–3 days with a prepaid return envelope. You collect urine samples over 24 hours and drop the kit in any mailbox. Results arrive in 7–10 days and are reviewed with Dr. Iqbal at your follow-up visit. No portals, no ordering steps required on your end.

ORDERED BY YOUR CARE TEAM

Your team places the DUTCH kit order at your office visit — you pay in-office and the kit ships directly to your home. No patient portal login or ordering steps required. Fullscript manages your supplement protocols, keeping everything in one integrated platform behind the scenes.

ARE THESE YOUR SYMPTOMS

If you're experiencing any of these — your hormones are worth checking

Dr. Iqbal takes a complete picture — reviewing your symptoms, history, and a comprehensive hormonal panel — before making any recommendation. If a DUTCH test is recommended, your team orders it through Fullscript at checkout — the kit ships directly to your home, no extra steps needed.

Many of these symptoms are dismissed as stress or aging. They often have a measurable hormonal cause — and a treatable one. The right labs tell the story.

HORMONAL LAB PANELS

We run the labs
that actually matter

Many patients arrive with "normal" results from a basic panel. Dr. Iqbal orders a comprehensive panel — standard labs through insurance and DUTCH testing when deeper insight is needed.

Estradiol (E2)

Primary estrogen — levels and fluctuation patterns

Testosterone (total + free)

Energy, libido, PCOS androgen excess

TSH + Free T3 + Free T4

Full thyroid function — not just TSH screening

Cortisol

Adrenal function and weight pattern

FSH + LH

Menopausal status, ovarian reserve indicators

Progesterone

Cycle phase timing, luteal function, sleep quality

DHEA-S

Adrenal androgen, aging, stress response

Reverse T3

Thyroid conversion — often missed in standard panels

Insulin + Fasting glucose

Insulin resistance, metabolic health, PCOS

HbA1c

3-month blood sugar average and metabolic picture

Why comprehensive panels matter

Hormones work as a system — estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, thyroid, and insulin all influence each other. Dr. Iqbal interprets your results as a complete picture. Patients frequently arrive with labs marked "normal range" — but normal ranges are population averages, not your personal optimal.

When blood panels don't tell the full story, the DUTCH test fills the gaps — especially for cortisol patterns and estrogen metabolism, which blood draws cannot capture accurately.

Insurance & Billing

Standard hormonal panels are billed through your insurance when ordered by Dr. Iqbal with a clinical diagnosis code. Most patients pay only their copay or coinsurance. The DUTCH test is a cash-pay specialty test provided to take home in office— $449 for DUTCH Complete, $599 for DUTCH PLUS. Physician visits are billed to insurance or available under DPC membership at $99/month.

Board-Certified Physician · Crabtree Health, Morrisville NC

Dr. Iqbal sees women at every stage of hormonal change — from the first subtle shifts of perimenopause to post-menopausal metabolic management. She brings a root-cause approach: looking at the full picture of labs, lifestyle, and symptoms rather than treating a number on a page.

She accepts most major insurance and offers DPC membership at $99/month for patients who prefer unlimited access. When blood panels leave questions unanswered, she orders DUTCH testing through Fullscript for a complete 24-hour hormonal picture. Every treatment plan is individualised — never a protocol.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What women ask before
their first visit

Is women's hormonal therapy covered by insurance?

Physician visits and most standard lab work are billed to insurance. The DUTCH test is a cash-pay specialty test at $449–$599. Hormone therapy prescriptions may be partially covered. Our team verifies your benefits before your visit. DPC membership at $99/month is also available as an alternative.

What is the DUTCH test and do I need it?

The DUTCH test is a dried urine hormone panel that measures your full 24-hour cortisol pattern and complete estrogen metabolism pathways — things a blood draw cannot capture. When Dr. Iqbal recommends it, your team provides your the kit in office.  You collect samples over 24 hours, return the prepaid kit, and results are reviewed with Dr. Iqbal in 7–10 days.

Do you prescribe bio-identical hormones?

Dr. Iqbal prescribes hormone therapy based on your lab results and clinical presentation. The specific type — including bio-identical options — is discussed at your return visit after labs are reviewed. Every prescription is tailored to your results, never a one-size protocol.

Do I need to be in menopause to come in?

Not at all. Dr. Iqbal sees women in their 30s, 40s, and beyond — including those in perimenopause (years before menopause), those managing PCOS, and those with thyroid or adrenal concerns that have nothing to do with menopause age.

What's the difference between this and an OB/GYN?

An OB/GYN focuses on reproductive health and obstetrics. Dr. Iqbal focuses on hormonal and metabolic health — how your hormones affect weight, energy, mood, and metabolism. The two are complementary and we coordinate care with your OB/GYN when appropriate.

Can I do telehealth for hormonal visits?

Yes. Most follow-up visits and lab reviews are available via telehealth. Your initial visit may prefer in-person at our Morrisville, NC office for a complete history and physical. Labs are ordered to a location near you. The DUTCH test kit is mailed to your home directly.
